Training / Capacity Building Activities

KVK provides short duration trainings of 2-3 days and Long duration trainings of 5-30 days depending on the budget & sponsoredship. The budget is provided by ICAR and other sponsoring agencies, like- Agriculture department, RmoL. On an average KVK conducts 45 to 50 need- based training programs in a year for farmers, farmwomen & rural youth. More emphasis has been given on long duration self employment oriented training for school dropouts & unemployed rural youth. Many participants on completion of the training have been successfully self employed by way of establishing their own business. Efforts have also been concentrated to empower the women component technically as they play a very vital role in agricultural operations.
